I created this kit " Brave Hearts" to support children who may be experiencing illness, hospital stays, or ongoing health challenges.
Being unwell can bring big, confusing feelings — worry, fear, frustration, and uncertainty. This kit offers a calm, creative way for children to express those feelings, process what they’re going through, and feel supported along the way.
Designed with care for children facing more than everyday illness 💛
This kit is thoughtfully created for children who may be:
– spending time in hospital
– undergoing treatment
– recovering from illness
– managing ongoing health conditions
It goes beyond distraction — offering a gentle way to explore feelings, build reassurance, and create moments of calm.

– A collection of affirmation cards to offer comfort and reassurance
(e.g. You are brave, even when you feel scared)
– Gentle “I wonder” prompt cards to support reflection and expression
– A soft comfort bear to provide reassurance and connection
– A 300gsm quality card booklet for drawing and expression
– High quality paints for calming, creative activity
– A child-friendly introduction card explaining how to use the kit
How it works:
Children can choose a card when they feel ready.
Some may connect with the words.
Others may express their feelings through drawing and colour.
There is no pressure to talk — the creative process allows feelings to be explored in a way that feels safe and natural.

£1 from every kit is donated to support seriously ill children through play and emotional wellbeing with Starlight Children's Foundation.
We are currently exploring ways to offer a donation option where kits can be sent directly to children in hospital.
